Top 10 Book Covers of 2011 and Superlative Blogfest

Top 10 Book Covers (I Read) in 2011:

I realized too late that this might be an impossible blogfest because I've read a total of 18 books published in 2011 - and 4 of those are MG, adult fantasy, graphic novel, and Go the F**k to Sleep, which I don't think counts as YA.  Or picture book for that matter.  But it is the funniest 2011 book I've read.

Today's topic: Head of the Class

Favorite Dystopian: Crossed by Ally Condie

Favorite Science Fiction: Outside In by my idol Maria V. Snyder

Favorite Fantasy: The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

Favorite Paranormal Romance: The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong

Favorite Action/Adventure
AND
Favorite Genre-bender: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs - my review

  1. It was hard to pick, wasn't it?! I'm so glad you're participating and I'm dying to read TGOFAT! I had to take it back to the library before I could read. :(

Great covers too! Matched and Crossed are on my TBR.

  2. I loved Matched. It would have made my list if pubbed in 2011. I adore the cover, and though people compare it unfavorably to The Giver... I think that's a little unfair. I loved it, loved Condie's writing style, and thought it was a fab book. I haven't read Crossed yet... my budget is smaller than my wishlist.

  3. Great list! I keep seeing all these great books I totally meant to read and didn't get around to as I hop around...I can't believe I never got around to Miss Peregrine's. Bah.

  5. I'm with Jessica--I meant to read most of these books but time hates me and there's never enough. Awesome choices.

  7. Fabulous choices! I enjoyed CROSSED and MISS PEREGRINE as well. And I love your choices for book covers as well. I've not read LEMON CAKE, but every time I see that cover I feel hungry!

  8. I love the books you chose for the book covers. Very eye catching. Outside In really caught my attention. Have to add that to my TBR list.

  9. I have heard great things about "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." But I keep thinking - nah, this isn't a book I'd ever want to read. After reading your review, I think I may have to give it a try. Great picks!
