Walk Two Moons: Thank You, Sharon Creech

Walk Two Moonsby Sharon Creech changed my life.  I was well out of college when I read this, huddled on the tiny couch in the tiny Manhattan apartment I shared with a roommate.  The sun was up and I'd stayed up all night reading.  When I closed the book, I cried with everything my heart was carrying from childhood.  This book helped heal me.

And I realized then:

This is what I want to do for a living.

  1. AW! I haven't read that book, but I know the feeling. I've cried so many times after a good book that just resonated in a special way.

  9. Wow. I must read this book. (Along with Holly Black's "White Cat" that you tweeted about).

Meradeth, I totally agree with you. The Book Thief is one of the best books I've ever read. Have your read "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini? It's also amazing.
